G n' R: Bula Talent

Taya (translation: nothing)
Were my teammates in modesty mode while they were considering team names? After last nights game, my first after a month long slack of no soccer, I didn’t think our team had ‘taya talent’ we were more like ‘BULA talent’. Despite the 4-1 loss I witnessed great attempts and a whole lotta’ heart during the game. My only regret was holding back, too scared to get knocked out by men twice my size. It also felt funny playing against my teammates from last seasons women rec league, especially Captain Brenda. Before the season ends, we’ll take those Dreaded Pirates down…arrrr… especially when Angelo starts blasting “Welcome to the jungle” and Brad starts head banging.

You guys ARE good! I've witnessed a lot of talent from your team over the season!!! It is really weird to play against former teammates and friends! The women get together to practice for the All Stars which makes it even weirder. I found myself complimenting Tara and other "opponents" during the match...We may not wear the same jersey's but we're still United. Go women!!!

I hate that Brenda is good. I found myself thinking several times, "Damn, nice (shot, pass, dribble). I wish she was on my team."

You guys are way too kind. Dale doesn't give us protein drinks. He makes us take shots of Captain Morgan Rum to get into the Pirate spirit!!!! I love my Captain!
